Adult Ski & Snowboard Lessons

Homewood’s Adult Group Lessons cater to guests ages 13 and older. Whether you are brand new to winter sports or want to improve your technical skills and confidence on our uncrowded slopes, our instructors are eager to help you reach the next level.

Our top-to-bottom beginner trails allow skiers and riders who have mastered the basics to enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe from the peak.

Adult First Time Lessons

Level 1

Designed for first-timers who have never been on snow before, this lesson will focus on basic ski or snowboarding principles, including an understanding of edging and how to stop on a slope.  

Adult Learn to Ski Group Lesson packages include a half-day lesson, ski or snowboard equipment and a surface lift ticket. The package does not include  outerwear, gloves and goggles.

 

  • Ages 13 and older
  • Morning Lesson: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
  • Afternoon Lesson: 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

Includes Lesson,  Beginner Lift Ticket, helmet,  and Ski or Snowboard Equipment

Adult Beginner/Intermediate Lessons

Level 2 / Level 3

This lesson package is for beginner to intermediates, those who have been skiing and snowboarding before and are looking to improve their skills or familiarize themselves with the mountain. You will receive personalized instruction with small group lessons. Designed for intermediate and advanced guests who have tried skiing and snowboarding before and are looking to brush up on skills and develop a solid feeling of control.

 

Adult Learn to Ski Group Lesson packages include a half-day lesson, ski or snowboard equipment, a helmet, and an all-mountain lift ticket. The package does not include outerwear, gloves, and goggles.

 

  • Morning Lesson: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Afternoon Lesson: 1 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
  • Includes Lesson, Lift Ticket, and Equipment.

Arriving for your lesson 

Step 1: Arrival and Parking – All Adult Lessons must have their lift ticket and go through the process of picking up their ski or snowboard rentals prior to checking in for their lessons. Please arrive at Homewood no later than 30 minutes before the lesson start time for mid-weekdays and at least 1 hour to 1.5 hours prior on weekends and holidays. 

All lessons will meet at Homewood’s North Base (located at 5145 West Lake Blvd.). Homewood offers convenient parking right at the base of the North Lodge. Note that parking reservations are required and can be made online before your visit. 

Step 2: Pick Up Your Lift Ticket – After you’ve parked head over to our North Lodge. Pick up your lift ticket at one of the self-serving kiosks. 

Step 3: Pick Up Your Rentals – Follow the signs to the rentals entrance.

Step 4: Check-in for your lesson – After picking up your lift ticket and rentals all lesson participants should check in at the Ski & Snowboard School building (Little Red School House) behind the North Lodge 10 minutes prior to the lesson start time. 

We recommend coming prepared with warm, waterproof pants and a jacket, mittens or gloves, one pair of warm socks, and either sunglasses or goggles.
