The Homewood Development Team is for skiers ages 9–17 ready to level up in an all-mountain environment. With 26 coaching days, this program builds foundational skills through terrain exploration, skill progression, and fun peer-based learning.

Super Sliders is our entry-level ski team experience that introduces kids to skiing, teamwork, and having fun on snow. It’s perfect for first-time team participants ages 6–12 who want to ski with friends, learn the basics, and enjoy the mountain.

Program Information

A Valid Homewood Season Pass or Lift Ticket is required for every day of training.

Skill Prerequisite

All Homewood Ski Teams athletes should be comfortable partcipating in a full day of activities without parent assistance, and enjoy winter weather and an outdoor environment.

Super Sliders This is our entry-level teams program. For the safety and enjoyment of all athletes, teams participants should have a solid grasp of foundational skiing or riding skills, including the ability to

  • ride the chair lift
  • stop unassisted
  • skate on skis and hockey stop
  • turn confidently on beginner terrain
  • glide with skis semi-parallel across the fall-line and on flat terrain
  • get up unassisted
  • take off, put on, and carry equipment unassisted
  • follow directions

Development Team

The Homewood Development team is for skiers who are ready to level-up in an all-mountain environment. Development team athletes should have a strong grasp of all skills listed for Super Slider, and the ability to confidently ski all groomed terrain.

Equipment All gear must be owned or a seasonal lease.

Skis: 1 pair skis between chin and nose high and in good condition

Boots: Must fit properly and be in excellent condition

Poles: Requred at an apporpriate skill level as determined by coach

Helmets, goggles and weather-appropriate outerwear are required.

 

Breaks, Snacks & Lunch Teams will take a supervised lunch break. Parents should provide a healthy, hearty lunch. Additional pocket snacks are recommended as needed.
