Waiting for Winter…

With unseasonably warm temperatures and a lack of precipitation, winter is off to a slow start here in Tahoe. General Manager Andy Buckley checks in with an update on our hopes for opening day and what are teams are doing to help get us there.

Homewood Reopening Community Update

Our teams have been working tirelessly to prepare Homewood for our reopening, and we will be ready to operate as soon as conditions allow. At this time, weather patterns and a lack of natural snowfall has impacted our ability to open as originally projected on December 12, 2025.

We are actively making snow during every available window and closely monitoring the forecast for our next opportunity to build base depth and ensure safe, quality conditions for our guests and team. While we had hoped to welcome everyone on Friday, December 12, Mother Nature ultimately guides our opening timeline.

If you have purchased lift tickets, lessons, or rentals on dates before opening day, our Guest Services team will reach out.

We will announce our updated official opening date as soon as conditions allow and will continue to monitor the situation closely. The Homewood Team remains fully engaged on the mountain and behind the scenes, preparing for the season.

Thank you for your patience, commitment, and belief in Homewood. First Chair is coming soon.
