HOMEWOOD, Calif. (Friday, September 28, 2012) – Located at the west shores of Lake Tahoe, Homewood Mountain Resort will offer adult lift tickets from $44 in addition to new conveniences, technology, and family-focused ski and snowboard programs.

New this winter, Homewood will offer adult online lift tickets for just $44 on select days throughout winter 2012-2013.  In addition to the new $44 days, other online rates invite guests save every day, including holidays, by pre-purchasing lift tickets at

The ‘Homewood Guarantee’ ensures that Homewood Mountain Resort will offer every chair lift, every day during the 2012-2013 ski season (weather and conditions permitting).  Popular lifts such as the Old Homewood Express and Quail and Ellis triple chairs offer access to some of the Lake Tahoe region’s most prized powder bowls, gladed slopes, and perfectly groomed trails – each with unparalleled views of the lake. 

New Homewood mobile app.
Homewood will offer guests a new way to interact with the mountain via their smartphones. With Homewood’s planned mobile app, guests will be able to locate themselves on the trail map, find their friends on the mountain, view current weather forecasts and grooming information, and share content via social media networks easily.

New Homeward Bound Paninis to-go; order from any smartphone.
In addition to nine mountain dining options, Homewood will unveil Homeward Bound Paninis – a new to-go option from which guests can order hot pressed Panini sandwiches from any smartphone, from any location - on or off the mountain. Simply visit to place an order, and a warm Panini sandwich will be available for pick-up from Homeward Bound Paninis located in the North Lodge.

Tahoe enthusiasts will now have access to live high-definition streaming footage of the lake and surrounding Sierra Nevada peaks thanks to a new partnership between Homewood Mountain Resort, West Shore Café & Inn, and the Annenberg Foundation’s philanthropic media organization,

The Lake Tahoe Cameras are the latest addition to’s Pearls of the Planet initiative, which aims to help people deepen their connection with nature through a portfolio of live HD cameras installed around the world.

Season passes valid every day including holidays.
New this winter, Homewood has deemed every season pass to be valid every day – including holidays.  With adult season passes from $259, Homewood’s pass offers one of the Lake Tahoe region’s best values.  In addition, 2012-13 Homewood passes include unlimited skiing and riding at Red Lodge Mountain Resort in Red Lodge MT; five days at Whitefish Mountain Resort in Whitefish, MT; and half-priced lift tickets at Alta Ski Resort in Alta, UT.

Families can receive two adult season passes and two teen and/or child season passes for $599. With a continued focus on family programs, passes, and ticketing options, the Homewood Family Pass offers one of Lake Tahoe’s most affordable options for unrestricted skiing and snowboarding this winter.

Burton Learn-to-Ride center.
New this winter, Homewood’s Burton Learn to Ride Center for adults uses proven teaching methods and innovative Burton beginner equipment with students ages 13+.  Each Burton Learn to Ride package includes instruction featuring Burton’s tried-and-true methodology, a beginner lift ticket, and Burton equipment.  The ‘Homewood Guarantee’ ensures that each student will feel snowboard-proficient by his or her third lesson – or the fourth lesson is free.

January, 2012 is Learn-to-Ski-and-Ride Month, during which Homewood will offer a special, all-inclusive lesson package to beginners for $44.  Guests can choose the Learn-to-Ski-and-Ride group package Sunday through Friday, non-holiday and reservations can be made at 

Peak-to-Shore ski package at West Shore Café + Inn.
Skiers and boarders can look forward to Lake Tahoe’s lakefront ski vacation, the Peak to Shore Package, which includes lodging at the West Shore Café & Inn as well as skiing and snowboarding at Homewood Mountain Resort – both located mere steps from Tahoe’s shore and Homewood’s ski slopes.

Peak to Shore packages start at $299 per night, and are available from December 21, 2012 through May, 2013.  Each night reserved includes two lift tickets which are valid any day including holidays, complimentary breakfast, car valet, and on-demand shuttle service to and from nearby destinations.

Experienced only at Lake Tahoe, the Homewood “Shore to Shore” Ski Boat Cruise offers guests one of the most scenic and unique ski and snowboard experiences in the world during winter 2012-2013.

Offered at $99, guests receive a round-trip, trans-Tahoe cruise aboard the 72-foot, 49-passenger luxury cruise yacht, Tahoe Bleu Wave; and a full day of skiing and boarding at Homewood Mountain Resort.  The morning departure cruise offers continental breakfast fare such as pastries juice, and coffee, while the afternoon return offers classic après-ski beverages and appetizers.
