Farm to Peak Mountaintop Dinner

Saturday, July 5, 2014 - 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Farm to Peak dinner series

Join us for an elevated dining experience like no other - mountaintop outdoor dining with a breathtaking view of Lake Tahoe.

Sip a glass of bubbly while riding a chairlift to the top of Homewood Mountain, then dine on exquisite seasonal cuisine. Guests will experience an exclusive five-course dinner and wine pairing designed by our guest chef Billy McCullough (formerly of Truckee's Dragonfly Restaurant) that incorporates the freshest seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients.

About Chef Billy McCulloughChef Billy McCullough

Famous for his Cal-Asian fusion cuisine at Dragonfly Restaurant in the heart of downtown Truckee, as well as unique bistro fare at 22 Bistro in Squaw Valley, Chef Billy McCullough is currently taking a break from the restaurant business but remains incredibly busy cooking for events such as the Best of Tahoe Chef's dinner and Homewood's Farm to Peak experience.

A graduate of The Western Culinary Institute, Billy gained his chops training under two of the area's top chefs - Douglas Dale of Wolfdale's and Jean Pierre Doignon of Le Bistro. At Dragonfly, his unique blend of Asian Flavors with local, sustainable products was called “the first true Cal-Asian Restaurant” by Mike Dunne of the Sacramento Bee and won “Restaurant of the Year” from the Sierra Sun. At 22 Bistro, he spread his culinary style into “comfort food with a global flare” and has continued his quest to support the Slow Food movement by using sustainable, seasonal products.

A bleeding heart philanthropist, Billy was named “Volunteer of the Year” by the Truckee Chamber of Commerce, “Citizen of the Year” by the local Interact Club, and was awarded “Vocational Person of the Year” and the “Paul Harris Award” from the Truckee Noon Rotary Club, where he is an active member. Chef Billy is also a new Board Member of the Tahoe Food Hub which will be sourcing the ingredients for our Farm to Peak dinner series.
