Homewood to offer “I do, with a view” on-mountain wedding packages this Valentine’s Day
Known by skiers and snowboarders as “Tahoe’s most beautiful resort,” Homewood Mountain Resort will offer adventurous couples looking to get married on Valentine’s Day an unforgettable backdrop for their special day.
Homewood’s “I do, with a view” wedding ceremonies will take place at mid-mountain, just below the resort’s iconic Big Blue View Bar – a location that provides for panoramic Lake Tahoe views unrivaled in the Tahoe basin.
Three packages are available to couples that both ski or snowboard and wish to get married on the slopes this Valentine’s Day, Friday, Feb. 14, 2014:
- The Mountain Elopement package ($TBD) includes an on-mountain service provided by local Minister Christa Deane, marriage license and certified license copy.
- The Chairlift to Marital Bliss package ($TBD) includes everything in the Mountain Elopement package, plus two lift tickets to Homewood Mountain Resort on Valentine’s Day as well as dinner for two ($TBD dining credit) at Homewood’s lake-front West Shore Café and Inn.
- The Ultimate Tahoe Experience package ($TBD) includes everything in the Chairlift to Marital Bliss package, plus lodging at the West Shore Café and Inn that night.
- TO BOOK: Call Briitni Kern at (530) 584-6839
Couples and any guests wishing to attend the ceremonies will need to ski or snowboard to access the ceremony site, and no exceptions will be made for guests who do not ski or ride.
Marriage services will be conducted throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and couples are asked to call Homewood Event Coordinator Briitni Kern at (530) 584-6339 to reserve a time slot by Feb. 1. You can also contact Briitni by email at email@example.com.
Professional photography of the mountain-top services will also available for an additional $100 fee if reserved in advance, and includes the choice of a DVD with high-resolution digital photos or on-site digital download to a flash drive.
In the event of stormy weather that makes mid-mountain ceremonies impossible, couples will be able to say their vows inside the West Shore Café and Inn, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Tahoe.
