It's Official - Homewood is open for skiing and riding!

Within the past 24hrs we have received 12" at the top of the mountain allowing us to increase our terrain and open top to bottom tomorrow, Sunday Dec. 20; however, early-season conditions exist, and terrain will be open for intermediate to advanced skiers and riders only. Several runs are available via Old Homewood Express, and skiers and riders will be able come down the mountain via Lumbard Street to the base. Variable pre-season conditions exist and some walking will be involved to get down Lombard which may not be groomed. The Madden Triple Chair will also be spinning to transport and download skiers to and from the upper mountain.

At the North Lodge, Homewood’s Ski & Snowboard School will teach our Learn to Ski/Ride lessons at the Happy Platter.

Deal of the week: Triple Play 3-Packs ($139)

New for 2014-15: Homewood Snowcat Adventures

Homewood Snowcat AdventuresHomewood Snowcat Adventures will debut this winter on 750+ acres of backcountry terrain on the flanks of Ellis Peak, pending U.S. Forest Service permits to operate on public lands above the resort’s traditional ski area boundary. The new snowcat operation will transport skiers and snowboarders from the top of the Ellis or Old Homewood Express chairs to the 8,740-foot summit of Ellis Peak, where groups of up to 10 skiers and riders will enjoy guided access to a wide variety of terrain options – from perfectly-spaced tree runs to steeps, powder bowls and intermediate-level glades – all leading guests back to the in-bounds terrain at the resort.

Season pass holder discounts: Homewood season pass holders will receive a $100 discount off the cost of all-day snowcat touring packages this winter, making a trip into the untracked snow above the resort that much easier this winter. Click here for full details.
