Kids Ski & Snowboard Lessons (ages 4-12)

Lesson times and locations

All Children must come equipped with ski pants and jacket, mittens or gloves, ski socks, and either sunglasses or goggles. Those items are available for purchase at our Children's Center. Students will not be admitted until they have all of the necessary equipment.

All-Day program: 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - please check in no later than 9:30 a.m. (9 a.m. on weekends/holidays) to allow time for equipment fitting.
Half-Day program: 1 - 3:30 p.m. - please check in no later than 12:30 p.m. to allow time for equipment fitting.
* We strongly recommend advance registration to expedite the check-in process. Same-day registration cannot be guaranteed.

Check-in & Lesson Location: South Base, Children's Ski & Snowboard School building (at the end of Tahoe Ski Bowl Way - click for map). Free shuttles run between the North & South Lodges.

Family Private Lessons

Private lessons provide the most flexibility and the best learning environment for any skier, rider or group of up to five. Private instruction is available for children or adults (or both), from beginner to intermediate or advanced skiers and snowboarders who wish to progress rapidly with customized instruction. About the Children's Ski & Snowboard programs

The Homewood Children's Ski & Snowboard School programs are organized daily by ability level. Upon arrival, you will be asked about your child's previous skiing or riding experience and then we will place your child in a group with others of the same level. This ensures the best learning environment for our kids!

This is an educational ski and snowboard program, not a day care, and can be physically demanding. Parents are required to remain on premises in the event that a child becomes ill or refuses to participate.

Children's lessons are offered as half-day or full-day programs. Our full-day program is highly recommended as it creates the best learning environment. Kid-friendly lunch is included in full-day programs. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated upon arrival. Please make us aware of any food allergies.

All lessons include the flaik GPS, a tracking device that monitors your child's location on the mountain during the lesson and offers a web code to view the day's stats from home! This is a great way for your child to share their experience with you - while keeping them safe!

Additionally, 4–6 year old children in group lessons will be outfitted with Magnestick chair lift safety technology.
